What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Aaaa, Motorcraft battery, Ford dealer? Why no pro-rated warranty? Me no understand?? What am I missing? Besides a few brain cells from misplaced teenage angst.

Since the previous customer assistants/representatives left, the service department hasn’t been the same. The fact that I was unable to stop in and talk directly to a person wasn’t possible didn’t help either I’m sure. They open well after I start work and close at the same time I get off work. Plus drill happening on Monday and this weekend killed any chance of that happening unless I took a day off.

No warrenty on batteries?

Most cheap batteries have at least a three year warranty. I thought motorcraft was supposed to have 5 plus year warranty.

had this happen to me on my wife's 2009 Charger. car was a hair over 2 and a half years old and the battery died. Car had lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. Battery was not covered...

Drove it with real purpose for once, rather than just a stupid commute to work...

Took it over to NH to grab a set of new aftermarket squarebody fenders for a cool 150$

the dude ended up throwing in some hood hinges I need for free, sold me a bench seat in nice shape for 60$, and gave me a loaded driver's door which I need to go back and pay him for once I'm not broke lol. Cool old guy for sure.

Took the dog for a ride to the car wash. Truck was 1000×s dirtier from the 15 minute ride to the car wash then from driving back and forth to work every day.

Had to take the long way home to avoid all the puddles of brine/ ice slurry.

cant seem to get the right u joints for my front drive shaft.

no one had 1330 spicers in stock and cant get any until tue....and i will be long gone before that... the ones they say work have a 27mm 28.xmm caps...

so i had to buy two joints.

i left the skid plate off....hoping that dont come back to haunt me. smoked my winch solonoids... sighs...

Cleared the snow off of it and loaded up my snowblower to go dig out my in-laws from Snowpacolypse 2022. they got plowed in pretty bad, it hard to dig out with a 2 stage Craftsman snowblower.,.

We just warrenteed a battery on a 19 Ram yesterday.

Fixed a fuel leak on my truck today.

Jeeps have a second battery to handle something with the annoying auto stop/start feature. They're having trouble with those. And the darn thing is mounted under the main battery.
