How bout a tread coming loose, delaminating? How old are the tires? Sometimes when the tread is coming loose it’ll vibrate at different speeds and do all kinds of wacko things. That gets back to swapping the tires with the spare one by one and seeing if it goes away.

Or you could do what I’m gonna do with the number for Ranger I bought for parts. Drain all the fluids and put it in an interesting place in your yard, filled back up with Pete Moss and topsoil and plant spring flowers in it

ok, what if you put water into a tire?

Or take the tires off and put it in a nice place in the yard and fill up the bed with peat moss and topsoil and make it a flower bed

I tore the rear axle apart, with the intention of installing new gears and a locker. Well, the company I ordered the gear and install kit from sent me for the second time, another install kit.
I highly recommend not to order from Ron’s Machine Service 1 on Ebay. The only part of my order they got correct is the original install kit shipment! 🤣🤣🤣

Didn't touch either Ranger today, yet at least... Drove the explorer to work and picked up a boat... I know, big hole in the water to throw money into... but it's a jet boat, there's almost no way it can be worth less than what I paid, they plateau in value and being a '83 it'd gone done reached it's low :). 21', 351 windsor engine that runs good. It's actually in pretty good shape...

I'd like to get my jetski running. Needs new rings on one piston. Found a set online for $36 but a regular ring compressor won't work, that's how I broke the ring.

Use the tip of a zip tie in the port, assuming the jug goes on from the top of the piston, they're slippery enough to slide out of the way or so I've heard, I'm only used to working on weedeater and chainsaw 2 strokes, you don't need a compressor for those, fingers are enough.

Tires looked ok from the casual look they got when I rotated them. Not to say I didn’t miss something. Wondering if maybe it’s out of balance though, noticed it has two huge wheel weights on the outside. Forget offhand how old the tires are, but I believe they are not all that old, they were virtually brand new Kumho mudders when I got the truck.

Definitely dont need any more yard ornaments, need to get a bunch of the ones I have squared away

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
I looked at it and said “nope, not today”... now I’m at work trying to find the intermittent short in this area:

58169

Edit:
Found it.
If you were to zoom in here:
58171

Then pull the harness away from the bracket, shine a flashlight at the right angle, and look with a mirror, you can see this little spec of green wire...

58172

I should have taken the day off and worked on my Ranger.

See my edit.
At least you found it. Go home. Have a beer. Relax. Then fix it tomorrow.

I spent 36 hours trying to fix a machine at work this past weekend. Didn't have the fuses in stock. Spare VFD (fancy electrical doohickey that controls an electric motor) was ordered without the proprietary firmware installed and I didn't have the software on my laptop to transfer it from the old VFD. The whole adventure was horrible. Will find out tomorrow if they got a VFD specialist in to fix it yet. We just didn't have the tools or parts. Otherwise, we're going to upgrade the machine with newer VFD's because the old ones are obsolete. Meanwhile, running the system on a "rigged" backup plan.

I work until midnight... and they need the truck for a paving job in the morning. (It’s an International 7600 tri-axle dump truck.) I’ve got about 6 hours to fix 1 wire.
