My credo
Let the universe take you where it will !!!
I took her for a drive, up to capital forest. Really tried out the 4 wd for the first time. Performed really well, definitely underpowered with the 2.3 compared to the 2.8, or 4.0 in my explorer. Carb went dry on this steep incline. Pics dont show truly how steep it was had to keep it in gear to prevent rolling off for this pic.

It sounds like there is trapped air. If you don't have one, get a brake bleeder kit and suck the fluid through. As long as you keep the reservoir filled, any air in the system should get pulled through. If that doesn't work, your master cylinder might be on the way out. Especially if you don't regularly flush your system every three years. There could be some corrosion in the master that chewed up the cylinder seal. This is assuming you let the pedal travel farther that it normally does during normal driving. The corrosion builds up just past the normal piston travel point.

Judging by how much room this would save going mustang 2 front suspension I may have too on the next one I build.

A lift? You r spoiled, I got lift shackles in rear, was definitely 2 drivers leaf bracket needed for me, all new leaf bushings, new shocks in rear, finished brake bleeding, attached parking cable from expo to ranger, that was a PITA, not enough tension. Took it for a test run to Wendy's, 8.8 swap seems good. Guess I'll go start yanking 4cyl out after my lunch settles

Changed the oil. The usual Motorcraft FL-820S filter and Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w-30. 205,000 miles and still runs great.

Removed the EGR, cleaned it and reinstalled it. Cleaned the corn out of the air box and blew out the air filter.

Took the 2019 out to Ohio to load it and the trailer up with firewood. Pictures to come.

And item of note. The factory “All-Terrain” tires are not. They got stuck in mud they shouldn’t have.

I changed the engine oil and rotated the tires this morning, I make sure to change the oil every 10,000 miles whether it needs it or not.

Last week I replaced inner and outer tie rod ends and aligned it. Gave it 1/16” toe in.

It’s to windy and wet to drop the trees that were in the plans for today. So, will have to just have to work with what I loaded yesterday. The trailer is full up to the top of the trailer sides.

Sounds like the Goodyear duratraks I put on the Ram worst A/T tires ever. But they are suppose to be the most aggressive A/T tire GY makes.... JUNK.... I should have wait the 8-12 week back order for the General Tires I wanted.

I have the duratrak mud terrains on my F350, the thing is never driven empty and I have around 30k miles on them and they're down to 50% or so, I've never gotten that thing stuck but haven't tried that hard, occasionally it needs 4x4 to keep moving, if it starts slipping there drop the pressure to 15-20psi and it's good to go (with a 7300lb truck with a 3000lb camper in back towing something or other, the tires are squishy there...). I think the problem with new stuff is no one wants sidewalls anymore... I'm a fan of sidewalls, gives you more options and rides better...
