New plugs in, uni wires in the mail - finished the other valve cover. Not perfect but I like it :) Ran a new ground cable for the swap… ordered more parts… went through way too much brake cleaner 🙄
Slid that motor in right quick last night though! Expected more resistance but she only complained for ~10 minutes about her new home.
I can’t believe you even found a red white and blue oil filter

Filled the hole on my steering column cover and painted it. Rustoleum colonial red satin is a little brighter then the top of the can, but it's close enough I'm not gonna mess with it.
obviously, a man with sophisticated tastes and superior discerning qualities.

While on the drag racing thing, my friends daughter has a drag race chevy square body truck that she got on a whim and turned into a burnout rig with a big block (was a 6.2L diesel that was locked up) and then put it on a diet and has done drag races a few times. Don't remember what's been done to the engine but I know it's a 454 with headers, cam, 4bbl and so forth but yesterday she got it to 12.99 in the 1/4 mile which doesn't sound too bad for a full size truck...

Thank him, and thank Him. Do His work with it, even when hard and inconvenient.

That’s great!

BTW, what year? Is he considering adopting anyone?

it is a 92.....just like i ordered back in 91 and sent back because the insurance payments were over 600 more per year then the truck payments.... and the color i wanted but could not get at that point....so its awesome. the difference, i had ordered 4x4 and cruise and the 60/40 split bench....and it was dark green. i was fine with the dark green but wanted and like this style red/maroon burgundy whatever the fawk they call it.... this even has the smoker windows and ac....and the ac even works.... of course i quit smoking when Zoie was born 27 years ago....but still like them.

it will be getting 4x4.....possibly converted to an automatic.... due to wife. and damn sure cruise control at one point. i have all of the stuff to go either way.... wont happen for a spell but is inevitable.

i have no use for a 2wd truck. they are useless for my activities.

it wont be lifted with big tires......it will simply not be useless where it will need to go. it will at least have a chance....and a winch...because we have to winch our 4x4s out there as it is at certain times of the year.....

I love it just as it is…

….But I’m going to get a 6040 seat

It’s really great the way I got it….

…. But I’m going to put in an automatic transmission.

It’s fantastic…

But I’m gonna rip out the whole drive and put in a 4WD

It’s just what I wanted…

…Except I’m going to put in a 7.3 while I wait for a good used hummer engine.

I’m poking fun. But you are on the right track. I could tell you from experience it’s much less expensive to change everything except the windshield washer nozzles compared to getting a new wife.

Enjoy. Blessings on you and your dad and your family.

EDIT: I have a 96 long, long, 4WD, diesel auto. Red red. It’s like driving a school bus.

D44 TTB or SAS?

yes....in fact....both do bolt in dont they.... fair question.

i have done a quite a few of 77-79 150/bronco axle swaps into ttb fullsize 150s broncos and the rbv. they can definitely bolt in.

but in this case TTB. i want it low as possible. at some point probably upgraded to a rear floater with an e locker and k20 hubs and brakes up front if it starts towing more then 5 k regular..
