Haha!

Maybe yours is the Star Trek alternate dimension of mine. Mine looked worse than that when I got it, and little by little, I’m cleaning it up. It looks like a little by little, you’re destroying yours, and it will soon look like mine, when I got it!

And I was kidding @lil_Blue_Ford about a new one. Sweet pea just doesn’t understand that they’re toys, and therapy, and half the fun is putting them back together! (Of course, her German convertible rocket is fun on occasion…)

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Dropped her off at the shop to get the AC fixed.(2001 XLT, 2.5, 5 speed). I thought it was a bad compressor. They said no, compressor ok but refrigerant leak under the dash, probably the AC evaporator. Do you have to pull the dash to access the evaporator ? Thanks ahead.
I'm pretty sure that comes out through the engine compartment on most Rangers. But it's not fun.

Pain but not dash remove thankfully. Here's an Exploder video of it being done. Should be the same or very similar.

It’s a lot easier to do the evaporator core without the pesky engine in the vehicle...

Unchocked the tires, reconnected the negative terminal, and drove the 2011 home.

Today I finished hanging a catback exhaust on the '07. Coming back from out west, about 5 miles east of Denver, I suddenly went open pipes. The cat pipes attachment bracket had rusted off and the intermediate pipe dropped. I stopped at the next exit and luckily there was an O'Reillys store. I was able to hacksaw off the intermediate pipes bracket and use a coupler to get it quiet for the rest of the trip.

It was slim pickings trying to find an exhaust kit for the 118' wheelbase (reg cab, longbed) but ebay had one. it turned out to be Made in USA, so I was happy.

Yesterday I ground off the remainder of the cat pipe bracket, modified the old intermediate pipe bracket, and welded it on the cat pipe. I had to make a 2-1/4" I.D. 3" O.D. washer out of some 11 gauge flat stock to push the gasket into the female bell of the new intermediate pipe but it went well.

I was planning on doing this earlier but had a really busy winter and spring, and the weather was perfect for it anyway.

Finally did a little something on the '90 for the first time since last Monday...

Pulled out the balljoint separator tool and separated the drag links from eachother and the pitman arm to make room for pulling the drivers side beam forward to pull the radius arm so I can add a gusset... and also so I can pull the passenger side link and take out some of the kink so the drivers side link doesn't hit the pivot at the pitman arm anymore... Then I used some CAD (beer box layer separator) to make a template for said gusset...

Installed an AC compressor kit yesterday. Today I am going to vacuum down the system and charge it. I had a hell of a time finding the right O-rings. The kit didn't include the right ones for my Strangler. I hope the ones I bought and installed are the right ones. Everything went back together a little to easy for me. Fingers crossed.🤞

Right now, Passenger window on the ‘88 Lincoln doesn’t go down and it didn’t cost me anything!

I wish I could tint my side windows. PA only allows the windows aft of the front doors and the rear window if the vehicle is an SUV or truck. Cars are S.O.L. I suspect vans are the same if they have a passenger car plate instead of a truck plate.

Basically the same rules in Virginia.
