There is a product called Shoe Goo for repairing shoes. It comes in a big tube. Check your local hardware store, big box store, or Tractor Supply.

No Andrew Dice Clay lines about "goo", please.
I actually have the shoe goo in stock in the shed of miracles, but the E6000 does a much better job (having done this before), But the shoe goo is great for other stuff. I get it in the little tubes from the dollar store…

Drove the 2019 out to Lil_Blue_Ford’s property for more overgrowth removal. It looks less abandoned than it did. There is still a lot of work that needs done.

If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Took it down and got it inspected. It passed as usual but it's old enough I only need a safety inspection now.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I read once upon a time that ShoeGoo is nothing more than rebranded, up-priced e6000.

I tried fixing an old pair of vans with e6000 a couple months ago.. it's fallen apart already lol. Time for new shoes I suppose.

I've seen videos where cobblers will heat up the soul before gluing it back together.

I stopped buying boots with the sole glued on years ago.

These thorogoods have the leather sewn into the sole. I’ll wear holes in the leather before the sole separates.

Needed to replace a failed aftermarket coolant temp gauge, should have been a quick project but it turned into a multi day project due to the wiring skills I didn't have 15 years ago, haha. Now I have working gauges and am less likely to have an electrical fire, so I guess that's a nice plus.

I cleaned up a little wiring on the road ranger trailer while I was waiting for a delivery

I also put a post at the end of the 40th truck nationals chain. Are we going to go again next year?

Worked on my white BII a little today. Ordered wiper system parts last week and they have been layin in the seat waiting on me. New motor for the reservoir, old one was froze up. New nozzle and new blades. Had to dig out the wiper arms. They been on the shelf for 8 years. Need some hose for the fluid so a run to Napa is gonna happen but not today. Started messin with exhaust. Y pipe is there but then it’s just a cut off nub of the old cat. Took apart the flange. It’s still usable so I start with it. Gonna start out simple. Pipe, muffler, turn out. No inspections or anything out here in the sticks so I won’t worry about catting up. Parts on order.

Well, the gas tank I ordered for the Choptop a month and a half ago finally showed up…

So that will have to get taken care of soon.

Also took the green Ranger for a run to pick up a couple steel pieces to patch dad’s Ranger with.

Is that a plastic tank? I’ve bought a couple tanks now but never paid the extra for the plastic.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of installing a new tank in one of these, there are a few spots that rub against the frame. I had one tank wear 3 pinholes. I bought some tape made by gorilla glue. It’s thick rubberized and I think 4” wide. I put patches of it everywhere the tank makes contact with the frame and under the straps. I think I remember seeing something similar on the factory tank but I’m not positive.

It is indeed a plastic tank. Around here, it’s worth it. My F-150 when I bought it years ago had a nearly brand new rear gas tank, less than a year old metal Spectra tank, made in Canada, eh. I bumped the seam with a wrench when I was replacing the spring hangers, so it wasn’t a real hard bump because the wrench was between the frame and the tank. Instant leak. Full 20 gallon tank. I was not at all happy. Both tanks got replaced with plastic. I’m not playing the rust game here. I’m just a little disappointed at how roughly manufactured these tanks are for how expensive they are, but they don’t rust and are tough.
