Tires that don't throw gravel ain't worth having...

We ran LE2's on my wife's Edge for years, phenomenal tire. Wore like iron, handled winter great and handled gravel well. Even took unintended mud in stride. For a highway tire I was very impressed. The only time the car got stuck it was high centered.

I never really noticed them picking up much gravel though.

But I still use the tailgate and this doesn't seem like it would work well with it

Can use the ranger bumper. Doesn’t matter if it fit well, someone else’s problem soon.

Looks like it would fit on the range pretty easily.

Should probably just ditch the Fiat and plop that bad boy the ‘ole ferd instead.

Finally got my boost/Vac gauge plumbed in. Luckily I didn’t have to pull the whole intake, just the throttle body and I was able to get under the intake to the bung.

Adjusted the throttle cable bracket while I had it apart. I like how the modbox kit has this adjustable bracket, but it’s impossible to adjust with the throttle installed.

I went after water softener salt & filled truck gas tank this morning, noticeable squat in the rear with the 320# of bagged salt in the back & having the coil helper springs not there anymore. Does ride better on the backroads now with them out now during my daily trip to work & back. Only got 19 mpg for these last 2 weeks of driving, not sure why it dropped a little, not like Ive been towing or letting it idle any. Maybe its just so hot Ive been having fuel evaporating a little. I have been meaning to change the O2 sensor, as far as I know mine is the original.

The wife and I went to a couple garage sales earlier today, went to the first one 3 times... first we only had $13 between us so we had to go to the bank (live in the boonies, sale was on the way to town...) they had a 30 gallon horizontal tank 3hp air compressor for $30... gave them money on the second go around but had to go back home for the '97 since I didn't think it would fit in the Camry... (didn't try, that on it's own would be too much work... it was 4 miles from home) so that was the first Ranger thing I did today...

Then this happened:

The tractor's less buried than it looks, that "was" 4' tall (collapsed 8' tall stalks) reed canary grass I was mowing but one of the front tractor tires went flat which made things way worse... had the wife drive the '00 Explorer out there but it was apparently softer than I thought and the bald 31" tires on the sploder didn't help... so I got the '90 to pull the sploder out then she turned around and pulled the tractor out backward instead of forward... was going to use the '98 sploder to pull the '00 out but the battery was dead...

We did the garage sale thing on fri, took the escape. wound up with a craftsman tool-tote for $5 and a small tool box (that I didnt need but couldnt pass up) A black 3-drawer craftsman “rally box” for $4. odd that the canvas open tool tote was more than the tool box but oh well. Was so humid couldnt take much more than a couple hours of yard sales. Also found (but passed on) a old sears arc welder, instead of a switch for different amperage’s you plugged a cable into a marked port (like “75”, “120”, ) the cables were no longer there or I would of took it, Id rather have a 225 lincoln anyways. right now my “welder” is a small 120V unit, takes these tiny rods that like to move around when you weld, good for light stuff but thats it.

They would keep your yard mowed... and you could make cheese as a bonus.

I'm no vet but that is a very early sign of a dyin' goat...

Reed canary grass isn't something that ANYTHING will eat unfortunately, and annoyingly it's an introduced plant (by the USDA if I remember right) in this area trying to ward off erosion but it spread like cane toads in Australia... to get rid of it you have to mow it before it goes to seed (unpossible in a wetland...) or completely cover it with plastic for at least 2 years

The tractor tire that had bubbles yesterday (but was holding air...) was a mere 48 years old, POS!!!!! lol, the spare I had was just as old but didn't have a tube in it oddly enough but did have half a pound of red fix a flat... the rim is RUSTY so I pulled the tube out of the bubbly tire, hosed out the fix a flat (with the help of about a billion mosquitoes) and after the family reunion here shortly I'll take the angle grinder and wire brush to the wheel, paint it, put some patches in the questionable areas of the "good" tire, put the tube in and cross my fingers and toes... best price I see online for those silly 5-15 tires is like $80 each, after the $13k I paid for the power to the shop and house in June and the $850 car insurance bill (6 months worth) I just got things are a bit tight...

I'm no vet but that is a very early sign of a dyin' goat...

I know if I had a goat that was eating stuff like tractor seats, it wouldn’t last much longer.
