the grey-t escape
Went to a auction today, was interested in either a 6’ finish mower or 5’ bush hog (both 3-point mounted). She was interested in a elliptical machine (nordic track E 7.7) Well she got the nordic track for $30 and I ended up with the bush hog (bush hog brand even, “rebel” model) for $400. The finish mower went for $600. So ran the escape home and she drove the ranger back there and I took the ford tractor. The nordic track was in the basement, absolutely horrible to get up the stairs & through the doorway. 7’ long, good thing I have a longbed & the cap is off. The mower- well it works but needs some attention, been sitting awhile.

Filled the bed and cab with trash from my junk trailer and took it to the dump. Man, it's nice not having to cover and tie the trailer just to go to the dump. And it's so easy to just grab everything with a rake to pull it out. I was there like 5 minutes unloading instead of having to untie and fold up the tarp and than sweep out the trailer. I still swept out the bed but it's so nice not getting fined if the tarp comes loose on one corner and you didn't see it when you get to the dump.

I was after some drop to level it out, don't you know,I didn't measure first! Looks to be 1.5-2". Springs are 3/4 - 1" from the bed.

I know, right. Makes me wanna put the bed back on, put it out by the road with a "For Sale" sign to see what I get offered. All it needs is a new motor. The rest of the truck is as solid as they come.

But then you are in the same inflated market looking for a replacement. Assuming you are interested in getting a replacement.

i was going to drive hte ranger in to work to show off the shell but the line to the gate was way toooo long. its about a half mile from my street corner to the gate for the navy base and a quarter mile the other way from my street to the highway off/on ramps. the line to get on base today went from the gate up the off ramp and who knows how far down the highway.

so i decided to ride my mountain bike to work again. if there is traffic and its not raining, i am riding in. i hate traffic

I moved my Ranger out on the road to work on the wife's Escape. A/C drain was plugged because the floor was wet.

So I get it jacked up and supported... slide under to find the drain and I hear someone driving on the road hit my truck. I come out from under it and it's our youngest daughter trying to park at the end of the driveway. Her passenger rear door is creased and door handle dangling... also got about two inches of the front door. Rear quarter is actually torn open at the top of the wheel opening. All I can do is shake my head and walk over and look at my truck. She hit right on the front corner of my AOR bumper and scratched the paint.

Glad that the Ranger made it through the ordeal but it sucks how much damage was done to the other vehicle. Well on the good side is you know that the AOR bumpers are strong.
