Got that topper picked up and in place. It needs a sliding window and a brake light replaced, and the strip that goes around the bottom needs to be glued back on but it's on the truck.

I finally got my e fan installed, thanks to all your help. Today I'm helping a friend restore his 2002 Edge. He needed a new tailgate, so we pulled this one from the junkyard. It needed work, of course. I should have it finished by the end of the day. A lot of rattle cans have died for my sins.

Dust shields for the 2011's front brakes just came in. I know what I'm doing today now.

EDIT: Slight change in plans. I'm going to need to prime and paint these before I install them.

Yep. Even with shipping. I was pleasantly surprised.

Of course, they are bare metal but I’m in the process of remedying that in the garage right now. The primer is drying and then I’m going to hit them with some high temp header paint I had sitting in the garage.

I can’t remember why I got the paint but it was some high temperature related and being that it is for something in the engine bay, it should handle any brake heat and brake cleaner with no problem.

@Uncle Gump I had to replace the retaining bolts that hold the dust shield in place. The threads are M6X1.00. The original bolt heads were 8mm but were so rusted I had to use a 5/16" for 5 of them and an easy out on the 6th. The hardware store didn't have any flange bolts that were short enough. So I had to use regular bolts with a 10mm head. They fit just fine.
