I usually try to wash my vehicles once a week when there's rust enhancers on the road.

Who knows if it really does any good.. a mile after washing the vehicles coated in the same amount of dust that's in Pelosis panties.

Peace of mind at least. 10$ a week ain't bad.

I try to do the same as long as the temp is above freezing for more than a couple hours. Caveat is that it doesn’t do much good if you have salt brine from melting snow still splashing up and coating everything.

Was about 4 miles from work when my boss called, my other coworker with a Ranger ('98 regular cab with a 2.5L) was broke down, and since I know Rangers and have a tow strap with me (it's a hooptie, you never know... sometimes I get into schenanigans too...) so I turned around and looked at it, popped the timing mark inspection plug and the belt's all floppy in there... towed it back to work...

Drove it over to be miserable while helping a friend pull a motor..... I hate GM with all my being.....

The down side is its a 90 vette.... the cool thing is its going in a mid 50's chevy belair I think..... apparently someone at GM came up with the idea that a 6mm or 7mm wasn't good enough to get the bolt that hold the wiring for the pcm to the dash plug on the driver side out you have to use a universal screw driver with out a bit.... that motor made a whopping 190hp back then.... I still am not sure why use this motor and that cross fire nonsense in this car but..... whatever reason I especially hate corvettes now.

Nope tried that one also that one didn't even bite. But the hyper tuff screw driver did

I need you to measure this bolt, because not I’m really confused. Frankly, I’m more confused that that screwdriver is 1/4” hex then why the bolt is a weird size.

Fired it up for the first time in a month and went out to a friends house. I had the E-Brake set and the passenger side stuck to the drum so a little more gas, lots of clutch and a loud bang later I was on the move. I'm thinking that I need to move it a bit more as I don't like the brakes hanging up from sitting during the winter.

If you do the Explorer 8.8 disc brake swap you'll get used to the parking brake barely working and just leave the trans in first gear, problem fixed

Wait, it might have been the lack of a parking brake for 4 years that put me in that situation... either way those tiny drums barely work, easy to drive around when you're already in low range on the sand at least...

The ones on my 2011 work fine and it's the same set up as the Explorer parking brake that I've worked on. There is no automatic adjustment, so you have to manually check and set them every so often. Horrible design but you can make it work. I check mine at least once a year.

It can work, but a 35" tire is a lot of leverage on a tiny drum brake, combine that with 5.13:1 gears and a 2.5:1 low range and they don't have a chance... I've played with the settings between cable preload and adjustment screw setting and it works "enough" but there's no excess if you are on a really steep hill with the engine running and needing it to hold really good...

Good point. I have to stay on top of mine with 31" tires. Something I really didn't have to worry about with the stock tires.

You need a lugnut 4x4 caliper upgrade in the rear
