It snowed like 4" at my house last night which is abnormal for here and even stayed and added on over the day, usually that kinda thing happens in February and on a Wednesday or something random or not at all... anyway it's supposed to be cold all week and my mom's pump house didn't have a door (the old one finally fell off...) and my brother had his irrigation reel gun still out in the field full of water so I went and did some stuff with the '90 Ranger since it's the most capable in the snow of any family rig... tried towing the reel gun with the tractor and one of the tires sunk a foot so plan B was to spool the gun out and leave it for the winter in the field... ground was soft so drug it out with the Ranger instead of the tractor...

My credo
Grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
It was in the 80s today so I installed a new stereo in the ranger for my son. The factory cd stereo kept cutting out. Now, it sounds great and the stereo plays DVDs so the passenger can get watch movies on trips. The stereo is one of those where the face slides out and flips up to a vertical position so you can use the touch screen to pick stations and junk. He likes that kind of stuff

It rained 6" in the last week, then 4" of snow on top of already saturated soil and it's supposed to get to the teens through the week doing it's normal straddle freezing temps just enough to make driving a pain in the rear, people here don't know how to deal with rain (don't ask, I don't know why, they're just dumb, probably cali transplants or just ignorant...) let alone snow or freezing, they'll either do 20 in a 55 or 70 and if they need to slow down they only know slamming on brakes, and what's that turn signal you mention? no need for those...

Unless I get called off of work I'll probably take the '90 to work tomorrow, don't trust the one legger in the 28-34 temp range, a locker adds another layer of complexity but I at least have the drive straightish lever on the floor next to the gear shift... driving it around today the alignment is getting worse but whatever...

Braved the first decent snow of the year. Truely impressed with these general grabber A/Ts i just put on. No weight in the bed in a decent little coating of slick wet snow and i never even spun a tire. Even up the hill by my house that was usually a sideways affair.
