Yes sir. I'm actually building a 4 tire inflation setup with some 1/4" slip in connectors. Parts should be here tomorrow.
So when your done you can wait on everyone else...

Well that's better than being the one everyone is waiting on haha. I got a new Viair compressor. It says it has a 25 min duty cycle. So I'm hoping it will hold up. Mainly like the equalization the 4 tire inflator offers.

Oil change today and also added this little dingleberry (below). A new antennae.

On a side note: I change my oil every 5K miles with Mobil-1 Full Synthetic. Every time I do an oil change the truck PCM tells me the my oil life is still at 60%.

Don't believe this. There a video on YouTube from FordTechMakuloco where he is completely rebuilding a 3.5L EcoBoost. The owner followed the PCM advice to the letter, changing the oil when the computer told him to. Big mistake. What happened? You know those SS oil feed lines that go to the turbos? On the end of each one of those lines is a $5 "screen" that keeps particles out of the turbo bearings - those screens got clogged with some crud in the oil and the result was the turbos grenading, and when they did metal from the turbos went into the engine - poof!

Just FYI.

Changed the coolant, sort of.
Several times in the past on other vehicles when I gave them a full flush the water pump took a powder shortly after, even if I use Prestone Super Flush. Lately I just pull the lower rad hose off and refill the radiator but I do that more often than the recommended interval.
Doing it that way was a bit under two gallons. 78k, coolant was still green but a little dirty. I'll do it again at 100k.
Used Prestone Platinum as per @sgtsandman recommendation.

Last big car cruise of the year in my area so I laid on a little extra shine and headed over.
This is what 79,000 miles looks like under JohnnyO's care.
Propping up the hood is my 3rd Place Award plaque from Carlisle this year.

Are you gonna be able to post here still while on deployment?

Be safe!

I should. Internet service there is as good as you can afford to pay and it's not cheap. They also tend to not like VPNs. So, I should still be able to monitor the forum and post but it may be limited. Plus, the days tend to average 14-15 hour days. So, available time will br limited. There is no wifi on the work site and anything non-work related on the computers is a big no-no.

I Inspected and lubed the brakes, while cleaning out the caked on mud from the brakes and the skid plates.

This was the "clean" side

I crunched some mpg numbers for the trip. Keep in mind, most of the weight was in the bed of the truck rather than in the trailer. So, while these numbers will reflect hauling a brick shaped thing behind me, the numbers are more for hauling than towing. With the trailer, it weights 1,200#, with a 80# manual log splitter, 72# Badlands Off Road Jack, 40# 48" Farm Jack, an electric chain saw, and a plastic tub with recovery gear in it. So, not much weight, just drag.

To Land Between the Lakes, I averaged 14.9 mpg and from LBL, 14.7 mpg.

For the off road portion, I got about 12.9 mpg.

If you are hauling a trailer bigger than a 4'X8'X2' box, your mpg will likely be worse. The trailer also had a vinyl tarp of the top with bows to support the tarp. Fuel usage would have been higher if the box had been uncovered.

With these ecoboost engines, you are either in eco and getting the roughly 24 mpg or you are in boost and fuel mileage drops like a rock.

Compared to my 2011 that I drove to Truck Nationals with the empty trailer in tow, I got about 16. Normal highway mpg is somewhere around 19.

Fall maintenance has been completed on the 2019. Mud removed from brakes and skid plates from the recent off roading. The brakes were inspected, cleaned, and lubed where appropriate. The cabin and engine air filters were changed. The mud tires were removed and stored and the all terrain tires were installed for the winter. The engine oil and filter were changed. The latches and hinges were lubed. And the rubber seals have had silicon spray applied to prevent the doors from freezing shut and to maintain the flexibility and clean the dirt off.

I still need to remove the mud from the transfer case skid plate and hose the rest of the mud off of the truck. That probably won't happen until the weekend or next week.

Changed the oil and installed a K&N air filter.
Walmart.com had the best price for the K&N at $51.99 and free shipping
I learned a while ago that the FL-400S oil filter is bigger and fits right on in place of the FL-910S. Today I got the Mobil 1 equivalent M1-209. Since Walmart doubled the price of Motorcraft I figure I might as well get the Mobil 1 for $3 more.
Valvoline Advanced Synthetic 5w-30.
Have 80k on it now.

I'm catching up. I'm over 65k now. I still use the M1-102 filter with the Mobil1 full synthetic. What's the advantages of the bigger filter? I change my oil every 5k. Haven't noticed a super nasty filter or experienced any issues. Just curious.
