Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I would argue that if they aren't willing to give you an inspection sticker it's not fine to drive....
The arguing socks will be put on before I get up there for sure.

No loaners available. Ford and Hyundai make enough warranty work that there aren't any left.

Expressed my displeasure about having a vehicle that's now going to be illegal to drive for an indefinite amount of time.. got nowhere. The last time this dealer needed to get a Ranger shaft it took 6 months -__-

Considering trading the truck in, sadly.

Cab still leaks like a sieve, and now that I've tried fixing it myself any hope of dealer cooperation is likely right out the window.

Can't get a driveshaft for who knows how long.. which means i can't get an inspection sticker for the same amount of time...

FMAACMS.

Dealer has nothing in stock id be willing to trade for.

Carvana has offered 1200$ over what I'm going to owe after I make my payment next week if I sell it to them outright, and if I decide to trade it to them they'll give me about 3000$ in equity.

I'm hesitant to buy a car from them though, from all the horror stories I've heard.

There are a few 2 door broncos available in my area.. but unless I can come up with a healthy amount of cash to put down I'm sure the payment would be too high for my liking..

Ugh.

Got side window shades from Amazon. Most of my driving is north and south and I'm constantly moving the sun visor between the side window and windshield. We'll see how it works in the morning.

Couple dudes on 5g got the one-piece driveshaft that Tom Woods is making. About $600.
I'm thinking about it but I'm not totally sure that's where the vibration is coming from.
If you can't fix the leak though....

Theres been times in the past year or so where not even the Tom woods shaft was available because of backordered bits&pieces from dana.. no idea how it is at the moment though admittedly.

I have no desire to do that though, just based off principle. I could very well replace the shaft myself and then take the dealer to small claims court where according to the maine A.G I would absolutely be granted repayment from the dealership.. but thats a whole mess in itself and means a days missed pay.. so it's still a loss for me. It would be 4-6 months before that court date too apparently 🙄

Finished up with the clay bar and wax and before that rubbed out the sides with tar remover. Get the winter crud off of it.
Paint feels smooth again.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

If I ever feel the need to drive a truck with a perfectly beautiful paint job, I’ll borrow one of yours. I admire people with the patience to do all that.

Do tell me about that bumper setup! Look like it's not a bumper replacement, but rather a bumper addition? Please give me details!

CMOS
It's the Westin winch mount. I got it from Stage3 Motorsports. I spru g for the additional bull bar but drilled new holes and dropped it as low as I could. It sat up like a Baja bar on the front in predrilled location. I've actually used it a few times to clear trails and love how accessible the winch is. You will loose some of your approach angle. But I'm more overlanding that hard core wheeling.

Oh I forgot to mention. I also had the Rough Country tow hook swap to shackles so I used 1 existing hole the had for their hook mounts and drilled 1 new 1 in the back towards the bumper and bolted them on the bottom just to the inside of the tray mounting arms. I used 7/16 bolts since that was the size of the 1 preexisting hole.

Ran the upholstery cleaner on the seats. Occupational hazard of often having to eat lunch while driving.
Pecking away at getting it detailed up for the Ford Nationals in a month.

So on my recent trip through the Georgia Traverse I used my tailgate as a cooking station under one of those pop up canopies. I found that the impressions on the inside of the tailgate made it hars to level my stove and such for cooking. So I Googled those tailgate tables and found that they see around 300 dollars so I found some 1/2" nylon cutting board material at work and made my own. It's just screwed in place but I plan on adding some nut zerts and get some bolts with knobs so I can remove and clean easier.
