I just don't understand folks that follow a league, that spits on our country.
That seems to me most pro sports leagues anymore. College teams appear to be wanting to join in on the “fun”.

Hauled a pair of cremation caskets to the funeral home. Don’t worry, they’re unoccupied.

Took it to Ziebart (which is a block from my work) and got it rustproofed. New car smell is back, kind of.

Loosened and properly torqued the lug nuts on the FX4 after the girlfriend got it safety inspected and emissions tested. That way, if she gets a flat, she can get the bad tire off and get the spare one. Garages always over tighten the lug nuts because time is money and they refuse to understand that torque sticks don’t work as advertised.

Not today but last week.. Bought the truck in July of 20, got the leveling kit the next week. Finally found time to throw it on. Superlift kit, not sure why I got theirs? But somewhat chincy stud replacement, all in all went on in about an hour and aligned pretty quick. Happy with the height just need larger tires, just hate the affect it'll have on my mileage.

Truck has roughly 31k miles I believe and pretty happy so far.

I’ve heard two main arguments. 1. If a little kid try’s to open the tailgate, it prevents the tailgate from falling down too fast and snaking them in the head.
2. If you are trying to open it while holding stuff, you just pull on the latch to unlock it and it opens itself. In this instance I suspect there is some kind of cover and you can’t just set the stuff in the bed.

I have no use for one, but those are the arguments I’ve heard.
Chiming in late on the tailgate assist shocks... Sorry to rekindle an old fire but actually very useful when you have a trailer and someone drops the tailgate gives you time to stop it before you need body work. Have on one my super duty and the new ranger. My 97 150 hardly still has a tailgate..

Oil Change No. 5 @ 20,000 miles:

Ford did a great job designing this truck to make draining the motor oil and replacing the motor oil filter a no drip, no run, no errors task. Also rotated the tires. More Here

Cabin Air Filter Change:

Easy Peazy access via the glove box door. Our truck was built in May of 2019 and it does not have the damper on the glove box door. I watched a video "How To Replace A 2019 - 2021 Ford Ranger Cabin Air Filter" and the damper was mentioned.
We used an Ecogard XC35518C filter that is said to have an Activated Carbon Odor Eliminator, which hopefully will cut down on that sour smell that occurs occasionally after the air conditioning has been running.

Took it to the dealer for the 20k mile oil change for warranty purposes. I change the oil every 5k but take it to the dealer every 10k so they have a record of it.

I need to ask the girlfriend if she got the oil changed in the FX4 yet. She said she would spring for it since she has done most of the driving in it. She’s horrible about keeping up on that stuff.

I inspected and lubed the brakes and installed the winter tires on it the other day.

My credo
Buy it, build it, and drive it like you stole it
Well over the past few months I have been wheeling the crap out of this truck. Finally taking it in for another alignment tomorrow. Found my vibration was from uneven tire wear. I figure I knocked it out some time after the roundup being it drove home with no vibration. I've posted some videos on You Tube if anyone wants to check them out. The channel is under Robert Mangrum. I can post a link if anyone wants. All I can say is damn I love this truck. It just keeps impressing me. Only complaint is the wheels are very accessible to big rocks when sliding through muddy ruts. Hopefully after we get through Christmas I can get me some aftermarket ones built for what I'm using it for on the weekends. Any suggestions on wheels and what offset. Wanting to put some flares on but want new wheels flush with flares

I prefer simple steel wheels for trails and rocks. Can be straightened if they get bent. Cheaper to replace if irreparably damaged.
