If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
We saw Tommy Emmanuel last week, if you listened to him without seeing him you would swear there were at least 2 guitar players on stage.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Dinner at my favorite local brew pub. Live band tonight playing bluegrass. I don't know much about bluegrass. But I enjoy listening to it now and again. A live local band is always a good thing.

Well, maybe not all bluegrass. They're covering a Mark Knopfler song right now.

drives a stick shift ranger
the "hold" music on the holley 1800 number... kind of a funk guitar riff with a synthesizer for filler

Today's playlist was heavy on the '90's death metal as it usually is.

But Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac, Eye in the Sky by Alan Parsons Project, Invisible Sun by The Police, and the Hill Street Blues Theme also ended up in the shuffle.

Recently I was at the gas station and I was playing "Phobophile" by Cryptopsy in my car. My car is a silver 2004 Lincoln Town Car Signature. So imagine this insane technical death metal song, not blasting but just loud enough to be heard a few feet from my old man barge of a car.

Guy at the kitty corner pump is grinning as I get out, and says "THAT music coming from THAT car is probably the most delightfully incongruous thing I've seen in a while." 🤣

I won't name it. It's more "watching" than listening. But I will just say "So long. And thanks for all the fish."
