Dang... dinner @ericbphoto house tonight!

I didn't want to cook tonight... so I went to Taco Bell. I use to love Taco Bell... but this stuff was just horrible... I will never eat there again.

Ok, so it's not just me? Their quality has completely gone to shit. I've made a few outings... They changed the bel grande, discontinued the taco salad, and the meat tastes weird.

Literally was my favorite restaurant. I'd punch a baby for a XXL grilled stuffed or a good gordida crunch rn.

You know the kind I mean. When that flatbread is piping hot, and it's the absolute optimal blend of ingredients.

Someone drive me to taco bell.

It's the pandemic. They hit their stride about a year ago, then did some dumb shit to make their menu look more appealing and discontinued the XXL grilled stuffed.

5 layer was one of my favorites. Almost inedible currently.

The one I used to frequent is a franchise though, so I've been going once or twice a week for the last week or two. We're all struggling right now, so I'm trying to still support the little guys like us out there.


Keep calm and carry on. It's all we can do.

Tonight was home-made hot sausage and cheddar ravioli....

I just made a batch of home made coleslaw...

Red and green cabbage... carrots... apples and jalapeno. Dressing.... mayo, apple cider vinegar, milk, salt/pepper, celery seed and a touch of sugar to sweeten it up a bit.

Bacon wrapped smoked sausage on a bun with BBQ sauce and topped dill chips and my coleslaw.

Also stuffed jalapenos with cream cheese/shredded sharp cheddar/green onion... and wrapped in bacon.

So... I have to say that I seen this bacon wrapped dog thing on a cooking show. The above was based on that with my own spin. Halfway through dinner... my wife wiped the mess from her face and said... OMG this thing is delicious! I have to agree with her... it was creamy/crunchy/smokie/tangy/sweet/sour/spicy and if you like BBQ... you need to stuff one of these into your pie hole.

But almost in the same breath... she says this must be terrible for you. So she crunched the numbers based on my plate which was the picture I posted.. Mind you... we are trying to watch our diet and this isn't diet food. But it was so good she wanted to know. Seems my plate is just slightly worse then a Big Mac and fries. She figured it right at 1000 calories. So if I tweak it bit... lose the chips and jalapeno poppers and replace it with a scoop of baked beans... this falls right into a decent cheat/treat meal at about 650ish calories. Loose the bun and drop another 200 calories.

For the record... I can lose weight... depending on activity... at about 2000 calories a day so I'm trying to stay within that number.
