when ever we happen to be going through atlanta, we always stop at some rsndom bbq place. Our last time was the place across from the Coca cola museum. it was set up like a bar but had good bbq.
I love stopping at bbq places. Everytime i go to a state i have not been to in a while, or never been to, the first place to eat is always bbq. And not some name brand place, it has to be some place i have never heard of so i get the bbq specific to that area.
My wife hates it because she only likes texas bbq sauce, the red sweet type. I like them all though, vinegar pork bbq, the white sauce bbq, the yellow sauce bbq, red sauce bbq, smoked bbq, chicken, beef, pork, all of it with a big ol cup of sweet tea, some cole slaw, and corn or potatoes.
Man, i am hungry now. We are supposed to go to the carolinas in december and i cannot wait to have some carolina pork bbq
what about the Brunswick stew?
After the practice wife, when I married Satan, being older our rehearsal dinner was pretty informal. I had JR’s barbecue cater it. 1/3 of our friends were from Georgia, her family was from up near Chicago and my family was from the New York area.
The barbecue, the onion rings, the whatever was fabulous, and it all went pretty quickly. And that big caterers tin full of Brunswick stew just sat there.
About 9 o’clock some folks got the nibbles again, and after a few people tried it, that thing got sucked out of the container like luggage when the door blows off a 747!
It was September 26. We went water skiing out at the lake house in the morning or day before. I had a pretty good gun collection, we went to the Riverbend gun club in the afternoon, and shot pocket 22s all the way up to a couple of AK-47’s, 44 magnum, and shotguns. Target for 10 cans, soup, cans, coffee, cans, etc., all the way up to a few 5 gallon buckets, all full of water. With those folks come from up north, you need a gun, but you can’t buy one, and of course in Georgia, can buy one at the Kroger checkout.
It was a really great wedding. Too bad the marriage sucked so bad.
