Welcome to TRS :)

So you are using 2000 Ranger Keyless entry Fob?

This Fob operates the RAP module which tells GEM Module to lock or unlock the doors

Does the door lock/unlock button work OK, not Reversed like the Fob?

2000 Ranger key Fob programming
DO NOT depress brake pedal during this programming procedure.
Unlock all doors using the power door lock switch on door panel.

Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.
Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Easiest fix would be to reverse the 2 wires on the 2 door locks, either repin connector, or cut and splice, reversing the 2 wires

Ranger and Explorer probably use opposite polarity on the door lock solenoids, you could try moving over the explorer door lock solenoids to the Ranger but not sure if they will fit and seems like a lot of work vs reversing 4 wires :)

ok on further testing the power door lock units are different on the ranger than the explorer they work backwards on the ranger so just switch the wires all good
