To start I own a 1988 ranger supercab. its lifted 4inches. on 31'' bfgs. i am looking to put a whole list of things into it....

here they are:
-motor-- 5.0 302 efi
-tranny-- f-150 4 speed w/ od manual
- transfercase-- one out of a f-150 (not sure what type)
- rear end-- 9in
- front end-- dana 44
- interior-- change from the red to black
- exterior-- brush gaurd, light bar, new front bumper, and a spare tire mount ( off a blazer),
-extra goodies-- 2nd gas tank where the factory spare tire is.. kc daylighters.. maybe new rims.. and yes new locking hubs...

and I am trying to do this on a Marines pay, LCpl to be exact.. the cheaper the better...

please e-mail me any tips you may have..

thanks

Life is too short for cheap beer.
Find a running donor F-150 4x4 and put the Ranger body on it.

A Dayna 35 fould be much easier to put in the front. They use the same axleshafts as the 44 and, unless your going really hardcore wheeling, will be just as strong. Just something to think about.
Good luck with the project, can't wait for pics.

Well sitting here I am really looking at the 5.0 powerplant.... hummmm. Yes I think I will do that. Keep my V6 2.9 and put a couple of turbos on it.. For when the 5.0 needs a rebuild. (*Plan E*)
