I’m having one problem after another and the only thing saving me is Ranger station so thanks for all your help guys! I’m learning a bunch. So now onto my new problem. For whatever reason my wheels are making this annoying noise. It doesn’t seem to be affected by the breaks and the best way I could describe it is weee weee weee weee going with the rotation of my tires. I’m sure this probably pretty straight forward but I can’t seem to find any answers online. I’m probably just not looking in the right spot but anyways all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Mike

My credo
Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
Does it happen all the way home?
Maybe you hit a pig.

Honestly there's not enough info to get a real diagnoses.

It could be a couple of things off the top of my head without more information. 1. There is a small rock or something stuck in caliper where it can rub on the rotor. 2. Brake pads are worn and the squeal tab is starting to engage the rotor. 3. Your slider pins are rusty or the channel the brake pads run is are rusty and combined with a warped rotor, is causing the squeak. 4. You rear drum brake contact pad on the splash shield are rusty and the brake shoes are rubbing against those making noise.

I looked below my truck and could only find a duck and squirrels so definitely not a pig ;) got it on jack stands it sounds like it’s just rubbing on my calipers. I can’t get it to replicate the noise.

I think what I’ll do is replace my breaks and see what happens from there.

If it was a trapped rock. They tend to clear themselves but it can take time sometimes. And quite annoying.

Look at everything first before you do that. No point in throwing parts at a problem and not fixing the problem or fixing the problem and not knowing how or why you fixed it.

Didn’t see any rocks, I defitely see some rust in the channel where the breaks run against the rotors. Pads look like they still have a little life in them

I’m 95% sure the noise is coming from the front but I can take a look at the rear just to be certain

make sure all the bolts for the caliper are tight. a friend had 1 come loose & scored the inside of the wheel enough that it was
leaking air ! while removing the tire the rim split apart......
