I have a 2002 Ranger that for the longest time that had a lot of water getting in to the passenger floor board. After new door seals, window squeegees I decided to pull the whole floor board mat out to investigate. What I found was
that just below where the front mounts is for the seat is a floor pan seam. This is where the water was coming in, very rusty from all the leakage but luckily no holes. Drivers side looked good as new. Did a serious prepping of area under cab [took off cat.] and the interior area I under coated the area.
All I can conclude is just a bad seam, Don't know if anyone else has had this issue so I'm just posting just in case anyone does.
