- My credo
- Have your pets spayed and neutered
I have 91 Ranger 65k, 3.0 v6 2wd.
The problem is that under the floor mat on the driver side the carpet has been wet/damp for quite awhile after driving.
Trouble shooted:
-no rubber trim leaks
-no rear window leaks
-No 3rd brake light leaks (fixed)
-No window leaks
-no heater core leak
-no spilled Slurpies
-no antifreeze smell
-only occurs on drivers side
After I drive, I lift the floor mat up, put my hand on the carpet and its very warm and wet (ok insert warm and wet jokes here ). I am suspecting due to heat from under the cab, which in turn heats the floor and carpet eventually causes condensation to occur as the cab cools in colder weather. I know this bc the windows fog after the truck sits and in the AM you can smell slight dampness.
Thanks

- Does anyone know if the exhaust runs under the driver side cab and could cause heat?
- Has anyone else had this issue on the drivers side only?
- Any other theories or places to look for water leakage?
Thanks
