Thanks. Very helpful. I used to live in the Pittsburgh area and designed nuclear reactors. Maybe I'll put one of those in. I asked for some help and expected not to be ridiculed.
?
You uh... You're not being ridiculed. I was dead serious with all of those...
2.9 is a gift from the gods.
The Ford 300 swap has been done. Runs like a tractor, indestructable, and is a low down torque monster. Fantastic powerplant that will easily exceed 1m miles if maintained.
The BMW M60/M62 is a tiny V12. It will fit. Transmission may be an issue. That one or the 4.2 Maserati/Ferrari V8 is the dream build for me.
2JZ will fit with some firewall work. Literally one of the best engines ever built. New billet blocks are now being manufactured.
Jag V12 can be had for $100. Will fit with some cutting. Can be a very powerful engine, but high maintenance.
Hyabusa and Mazda rotary engines will fit (literally) anywhere. If you want RPMs instead of torque, both good picks.
BMW I6 and Benz Kompressor engines are everywhere, cheap to build, and most are built for longevity as long as they don't have the Vanos system (bmw).
Supercharged Benz V8s are expensive, but, it's an AMG engine. If you're going to go big, go big.
Steam? How do I know youre not all into the steam stuff?! You designed nuclear reactors, so obvi you're into steam...
OK I'll admit the last one is a jackass response. The rest are not.
Oh. And you don't know ridicule from TRS yet. Try being the guy with a Megasquirted and methanol injected 2.9 that's in the middle of grafting on a Mercedes supercharger.
Those scars run deep, yo.
