not schmancy ZF6 manual transmission in my 2000 F-250. I would call it a crude ZF6 manual transmission, but I think that the NP435 in my 1968 F-100 has it beat in that respect.
Honestly I have no idea what goes into the ZF6. I've never looked at or considered changing the transmission fluid. I would assume that dad did when he changed the clutch back before I got it. I got 3 years ago at almost 200k miles and I don't think it has hit 205k yet.
As for the NP435, it probably hasn't been checked and defeinitely hasn't been changed in 2-3 decades. (I may have topped it off when I pulled it out of the field in 2018.) When it starts making noise, I'll either top it off or finally have a good excuse to rebuild/swap.
