Video Editing Software Suggestions?

Hey all, I need some suggestions on video editing. My nephew has asked me to build him a webpage to show college recruiters. The web part is no problem. The issue I have is, he's given me a DVD loaded with football plays that I need to go through and transfer youtube or something similar.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

This website http://www.videohelp.com/ has lots of information about video software and instructions for using them. I use TMPGEnc for most of mine, it cost $129 when I got it. I use Nero for burning and it comes with video editing software that is pretty inexpensive.
