I did the washer-spacer-shock-extension trick today and it made a HUGE difference in my ride quality! I was able to stack almost an inch of washers on top of the shocks, which is only a band-aid fix for now, but helps so much. I think I might get some of Doetsch's Prerunner shocks, which should ride real nice.

I definitely need new shocks. My truck bounces like a beast. With 143k miles, the stickers are just worn out. Anybody have any suggestions for some shocks that would handle light prerunning? I'm talkin driving fast on dirt roads and such. Looking at some Doetsch's. Either prerunners or baja rydas.

Disconnected one side of the sway bar today. It rides so much better! Even just pot holes in the road feel smoother to go over. The driveway at work is dirt and real uneven, and my truck used to rock like it was gonna flip when I went over it. But now it's so much better. I'm looking to modify the rear suspension now, maybe shackle flip and chevy leaves. I'll have to do more research to find out exactly what it'll cost, but should be fun.

Oh and I bougt some clear corners off eBay that I'm waiting to get. I'll do the blacked-out headlight mod when I get them. Gonna look good :icon_thumby:

Finally got my clear corners!

After a lot of grief with eBay, I finally got my clear corners last week. Baked each clear corner and headlight at 200 degrees for about 3 minutes and popped the lenses off, masked, painted, replaced lenses, looks much better!:icon_thumby:

And I'm running out of small mods like this to do lol. I really need to do something about those wheels! Maybe some soft 8's in a month or so.

In other news, I got stuck on a dirt road the other day haha. Got sucked into the ditch a little and 2wd w/ open diff just didn't cut it and I had to call my dad to bring his f150 fx4. So I'm keeping a look out for a good deal on a lock right (7.5 28 spl) and a SB xrc8.

Yeah I laughed pretty hard at that too, it's so true

I've seen a few guys paint the rims and leave the center caps chrome, looks pretty good

Haha thanks. And I've seen that too, but I wasn't a big fan. I mainly want new wheels for the size and offset. Some 15x8's with like a 3.75 offset would give it a goo stance. However, I have thought about painting my wheels flat black and the center caps gloss black.

Diggin the blacked out headlights and the Edge grille on the white truck, soft 8's would really match those. Bigger tires or stickin to the 235's?

Haha thanks guys. And keeping the 235's for now, since they have about 90-95% tread left. But I hope to get some 15x8 soft 8's (up from my current 15x6's) then when I get all the good out of these tires I'll get some 31's.
