US Wheels 501-57101 - will it fit 1988 2WD Ranger ?

Hi Guys,

I really like these U.S. Wheels 510-57101 and I'm about to buy it. However, I'm located overseas, so shipping, tax and duties makes these wheels very expensive for me ( almost + 1000USD to the original price) and once I get it there is no chance to send it back in case of misfit. That's why I would like to ask you guys what do you think about fitment. These are 15x7 4" backspacing and zero offset. I'm also planning to lower the truck with DJM I-beams and axle flip kit. My truck is 1988 2WD Ford Ranger XLT extended cab. Any advice appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Will they physically bolt on? Yes. The lug pattern is the same and the center bore is large enough. Can't tell you if the center cap will fit once installed.

Do some studying on backspacing and offset. Factory wheel for the 88 would have been 15x6 and had an offset of 25mm. This new wheel is 15x7 and has a zero offset. That will affect where it sits in the wheel well. Can't tell you how that is going to affect fitment, especially once lowered.

numerous Jeep models over the last 30-40 years use the same bolt pattern as Rangers.
if you have local sources for Jeep parts maybe you could find similar wheels there.

there is also a Ford forum that has an international section.

Thanks, I'm not so easy to be scared away, as this forum is #1 place of Ranger info over the web :)
If it comes to pics - not much to show at this point, this puppy was working as a restaurant banner in it's life :)

I will keep the "patina" just secure it with some patina sauce, but this suspension have to go - super scary to drive, butchered, polish redneck lift by some rubber pads under the coils, etc. Surprisingly good in terms of real rust and rot.

The wheels will fit and work. The inner edge of the wheel will be same as stock location and the outer edge of the wheel will be 1" further out.

that's a great looking Ranger.
I live in an area called the "rust belt" where salt is used to melt snow & ice.
most vehicles that old have been scrapped due to corrosion.

question, what is used in Poland for snow & ice removal?

Same story here - salt. That's why I'm surprised by the overall state of body and frame on this truck. I guess it wasn't used much during the winter season. Another thing is that although Warsaw is geographically located more or less on the same latitude as Calgary, Canada winters here are really mild. Last winter we had snow maybe like two or three weeks. Temperatures during the winter are often below freezing, but not much snow and ice on the roads. I guess this is due to the climate change, because I remember really heavy winters from my childhood.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice. I will post some pictures after I finish with it
