Well, it has been almost three months. This month is his 30th anniversary with Ford Motor Company. He has worked in 3 different plants (he assembled Rangers once as well until 2002). This has been one hell of a motorcycle accident. He has been riding off and on for over 28 years and he used to race them as well.
He is still home on bed rest – not allowed to walk or put any weight on his pelvis. His next appointment (an ambulance ride) to see all the doctors is on Monday, 8/20. At that appointment he will probably be told that he can begin physical therapy. He has weakness in one hand and the leg on the opposite side is weak/numb/tingling. He probably has some nerve damage – but so far it looks like with therapy he should be okay. (That assessment could change as therapy progresses.) He can now talk again now the tube is out of his mouth and knows what is going on and he is happy and laughing like old times. Good thing he had that helmet on his head!! The swelling in the brain has completely gone and no signs of brain damage!!!
