What front knuckles do have installed on that, they don't look like 2wd knuckles to me. From what I've seen the 2wd knuckles should have the spindle and hub sticking out through the wheel, and I'm not seeing it here. If those are 4wd knuckles and unit bearing hubs you don't want to run them on the road like that, that's a good way to risk a bearing failure and losing a wheel. If you need to use those, you'll want top modify some CV axle stub shafts to install through the hub to help them stay together.

Got nothing to say about the engine swap. You're doing something that I wouldn't tackle and are being creative about working around the issues. Good luck with it and hope that you are able to make it in the time you want.
