I have a 1984 Ford Bronco 2 with the 2.8 l v6. I am upgrading and I'm in search of a distributor to replace the sock one. Nobody has the Cardone distributor. Everywhere I've looked no one can get it. Is there an alternative to that distributor?

Junkyard from a Mustang II, Pinto or already converted Ranger/B2 is going to be your only source at this point unless you get lucky or they start making them again. They have more or less been unavailable for about a year.

Thank you. I will start checking junk yards.

Is there an availability for parts to rebuild that distributor when I find one?

I would also like to agree to a five-speed manual. I currently have a 4-speed manual in it. That's what it came with. If you have information on a good trans swap it would be much appreciated.

Looks like you can get some parts for the distributor. With how this situation has unfolded recently, I wouldn't plan on being able to get any parts for it in the near future.

Curious if anyone has tried to use the TFI distributor with an MSD ignition box like this thread suggests you can on a V8:

Then all you need is an appropriate carb or modify the one you have.

FYI the 5 speed swap has been done a million times, check out the Tech Library link above and search through the Transmission section on the forum for details.

Thank you for the information. I'll look into both.
