Well, I bought it. Now What?
Maybe I should have waited for a better fit, but the price was right and it seems like an interesting exercise in hands-on learning. We’ll see.
Here is the goal: An around town beater truck that has some off-road chops for mild to medium backroad rambles.
The budget is very tight, and as of now have no idea where to do the work. Genius plan, no? At least I have access to decent tools. Fo now, I’m focusing on what I need/want based on the state of the truck as it sits then hatch a pla
Lost an axle seal on the way home, so there is two one. Hoping for the best while I make my way down from Seattle to the Bay Area. Thoughts
I think the most juice for the least squeeze is to leave the body lift and concentrate on the springy bits. The truck rides OKish, but I’ll likely be addressing a bunch of that anyway. Does that make sense? I’m open to suggestions.
So what do you think, experts? Assume I know nothing, but am looking forward to learning and making informed choices. Who knows, maybe this thread will help others like me as well.
