I gave up on the turbo block I was as originally going to use. I'm using the original block/crank out of the ranger. I'll use the crank sensor for the microsquirt to run batch fire and wasted spark LS truck coils. I got the block stripped today. 250k on the engine and it looked surprisingly good. The crank just needs polishing. I'm a big fan of the smaller journal blocks. The smaller journal means the bearing surface speed is slower at a given RPM. setting up the microsquirt on this is easy. I don't think I'll ever use a turbo block again.
