Alright guys, I got the turbo in and I'm waiting on some other parts to trickle in to turbocharge my 2001 4.0 Ranger. :icon_welder:

Info on the build so far:
GT-45 Turbo
JDM 38mm Wastegate
JDM BOV
JDM Intercooler
Special Forces Tuning software
Dropped in a L/S differential from a Mustang

Truck in original form:
5R55E auto transmission- 114,000 miles
4.0L V6- 50,000 miles
15.5 in the 1/4 mile

I only have a few issues with the build at this point. I need to know just about what this engine can take as a daily driver. I plan on running around 4-5 psi for around town, and 7-9 on the track. I'm pretty sure that the tranny will go before anything else will, but I'm getting a little worried about fuel. I'm aware that the pistons are pretty much gone after 9 psi, but are the stock 24lb injectors going to hold up to the track? I'd hate to be on a winning streak and burn a piston. Also, at what point should I start worrying about this tranny? It has been serviced rather regularly and is showing zero sign of slippage and has been ever so faithful to me (knock on wood).

I'll probably have more questions later on and probably a mass of pictures, so stay tuned!

A good tune is the single biggest factor in keeping the motor alive, you need enough fuel and not too much timing. The 24lb injectors will not be up to snuff (at stock fuel pressure) and will hardly support 200hp boosted. I'd recommend 42lb injectors.

I've been looking around for new injectors, but I can't seem to find any for the SOHC 4.0, but then again I'm probably looking in the wrong place. Where do y'all suggest I look for new ones?

I looked on there earlier, but I couldn't find anything specifically for the Ranger. I've heard that most Ford injectors are interchangeable, so would it be a safe buy to get a generic Ford injector with the same wire plug?

and now i unfortunately have to scrap this idea. Unexpected bills have led me to rethink where I'm at with my money, so now I need to sell all of the stuff I've already bought. I'll be putting up an add for all of the parts that I've bought for the turbo project soon.
