I’m interested in sealing the sla front end on my 2005 4wd to a ttb axle of some flavor. Does anybody make a kit or have instructions on how to do that, or am I going to be fabing everything myself?

DIY and epic build thread potential.

IMO investigate a frame swap.

Yeah, you'll be on your own as far as all the brackets and stuff go.

TTBs have been swapped in where TTBs didn't exist before though (I've seen a Jeep XJ Cherokee with a Ford TTB under it, and also a Chevy once too).

When you get your axle, get the whole front section of the frame too so you have something to take your measurements off of. Or yeah just do a whole frame swap.

Yeah, that's where I'm screwed with my TTB swap for my V8 Explorer... I found the cheapest axles I could and they were already removed... there is no kit, you're more likely to find a kit to put a D30 up there...

I plan on putting in a D44/D50 hybrid in my '00 Explorer probably next year, hopefully start on it this winter and start the parts acquisition process... I already have a D44 TTB, a D50 TTB and two 10.25's... I think I have under $200 in all 4, but all were acquired without measurements... I'll be rigging things up before hand, might just weld the beams together temporarily to get pivots figured out...

There is a bad ass 78 bronco with monster bb power out here somewhere. All custom beams and knuckles....Dana 60 plus strength.

I have entertained a 2019 plus ranger 2wd build..conversion to 4x4 via a version of ttb......been watching copart...for two years.

you could just swap the front section of the frame. cut somewhere around the firewall and replace it with a ranger ttb frame. i had a friend do this on a tacoma with a bronco front portion of frame.
