I was looking into putting Bilstein's in the front of my '85 but nobody including Bilistein themselves show a shock for my truck.

I see later trucks have them offered. Is it a valving issue because of the newer trucks being a little heavier? Or is the mount a little higher or lower on the radius arm? Or some other reason?

probably just being an older vehicle no one wants to verify fitment... use a similar setup for a '90-97 if it is offered, the only difference on front shocks is the single shear shock mount on the Dana 35 and the double shear mount on the Dana 28, and the lower bushing might need one of the steel sleeves on the Dana 28 versus the Dana 35 with the large stud on the radius arms instead of a bolt...

If you dig, bilstien publishes all lengths and sizes they make.

Its in my build thread about them. I forget which combo fit, but I found one. Right before trail ride. I tried a few. ... or ahock thread....

As far as mounting I have D28 radius arms.

As far as dampening I have a D35 with 31" tires with a heavier than normal powertrain.

I know for a fact that in the rear F-150 shocks work.
