In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Just the right size to touch the ground.

In a manner of speaking. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it, to let me know. Unfortunately, I had already talked it up about how valuable it would be to the right person, so I didn't think it would be the right time to haggle about a price. He did say he paid $5k for it. He's a USAF F-15 pilot, but about as down to earth as any 30 something guy I've met that flew. In my experience, and understandably, fighter pilots are usually kinda full of themselves and a bit "holier than thou". To fly fighter jets, you have to have a lot of self confidence, so I get it. This guy wasn't like that at all though. He likes to do blacksmithing in his spare time. I ramble...

I love that look. The body creases remind me of my dad's '66 F100. Makes me wish that they'd added those creases to the new Bronco. The body shape, and grille are the same, why not add the creases?
New ones do have that upper body line.

They don't have that awkward business around the rear wheel. As a new Bronco buyer I am glad for that.

But since the rear fenders easily come off it would probably be easy to make rear fenders with the built in skirt.

my guess is that was about 10 thousand pounds being pulled by a 3 thousand pound ranger. obviously the chains used if any werent up to the task. Should of put the ranger on the trailer & pulled it with the allis!

That's an 8 lug rear axle so it's an F250 or F350, but still, many people overlook how important the rear chain is, if I'm hauling a tractor that size I use two chains in the back if at all possible, and I've hauled a couple tractors that look similar size, a Ford 8600 and a Ford 9000

Legally you have to have a correctly rated chain on every corner and any implement has to be tied down too.

Something looking suspiciously like a blown ratchet strap is laying on the ground in front of the trailer...

When I zoomed in closer I could see the 8-lug axle, without zooming in it sure looked like a ranger though. Ive never been a fan of straps unless its a basic riding mower or something about that size. I know you can get pretty high load rated straps but I just prefer log chain & binders.

Colorado DOT requires load chains on each corner and ratchet binder on each corner and some loads require even more tie down points.

Saw this bad boy outside the beer store today. Has independently controlled air suspension front and back. Was boppin up and down as he tried to drive and set the ride height.
