We have an F250 Supercrew with a long bed at work. They do steer like a barge. Even so, it's way better than the P.O.S. Colorado we had before. One just needs to remember to plug and unplug the block heater on the 7.3 when the temps drop below 50 degrees or it won't start without a visit from the ether bunny.

I was thinking about the condition of "paved" roads in my area.
side note: about a mile east of me the city is grinding & repaving a primary road laid in red brick over 100 years ago.

There is either no money to be made in building brick roads because they last so long or repair costs too much to do it right. I'm thinking a combination of both.

It's pretty much an open secret that paving companies purposefully use a mix that only lasts so long on public roads around here. It keeps the paving companies in business. Sometimes they screw up though. The Parkway west that goes into Pittsburgh was paved with a product called Super Pave a few years back and began falling apart rapidly. There was a huge $h!t storm over it and it blew any counter argument about paving company practices out of the water. I wouldn't be surprised if the issue isn't a nation wide thing.

? Mine will start with two cycles of the glow plugs down to the high 20's and I'm still running the glow plugs I got it with over a decade ago... might need a glow plug relay, they go out all the time and the newer ones don't last as long...

This is a government owned and maintained vehicle. They only maintain them as much as they absolutely have to. I guess Vehicle Maintenance figured it was cheaper and easier to just put an engine heater in it than fix it right.

Saw 2 today, no pics of either tho. #1 a new 2 door green metallic bronco w/ wood grain panels and lift/tires. Looked so good! #2 a 4-door late 80s bronco, assuming centurion. Not sure tho. It's up 4 sale and semi-local, so I will be going back
