In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
You have to ease into it.

When I had a V8 Ranger (TRS-1), I had a toggle switch to turn my fan off if I was going into water.
No, no. Do a wheelie to keep the front end completely out of it.

This was a panoramic view I took when everybody was lining up. I’m not sure every truck is in it.

I love the stop action image of the dismembered foot in the foreground…

It that Thing's cousin? Didn't know the Addams family was invited. Does that mean we'll see a Ranger featured in a future show/movie?

Looks more legit that my old scout summer camp's last weather rock. This is a picture they posted of the weather rock at what was at the camp's literal last camporee last weekend.

I seem to recall that the golden toilet (looks brown, was "gold" once upon a time) was a thing when I was there for summer camp in the 90s, but I don't recall the story. Apparently when they were doing the pre-sale clean-up on the property a couple of weeks ago someone found it in the woods. Seemed fitting sendoff given the situation.

Things cousin…..funny

Weather rock…..humor funny

Finding a gold painted urinal in the woods…sketchy funny

Admitting you know about the gold painted urinal from a place you visit regularly….

…..priceless!

😂

Wouldn't say that I visited regularly, someone else posted the picture on the camp's FB group page. I only went to camp there maybe 4 times, last one as a staff member around 2002. Wasn't too long after then that I started distancing myself from scouting, at the time mostly due to other obligations. Only even joined the FB group a few weeks ago because I heard that there was going to be an open house before they sold off the property. One last look around. Well that suffered from the same mismanagement that lead to them losing the place and it never happened, so instead I get to see it through pictures.

If I'm being honest, liking the pictures of LBL more.

Wouldn't that look nice in a Ranger sporting a Lincoln grill.

I have another 87 without an engine. Maybe I could start by putting a gold urinal in the middle of the grill, and @JoshT could help me put an engine and trans in it…

Can I tell you somethin?

Mrs had to work this morning so we were left unattended. I was working on my truck and he dragged a bunch of his hotwheels outside and had a big track going and everything. There was a big kerfuffle and he come over all concerned because Jim bent an axle (which sounds like a plausible @Jim Oaks passtime)

I go over and he has a silver 19-23 Ranger, black 19-23 Ranger, bright blue 15-17 F-150, his 1/64 green/white first gen Ranger and a blue Dodge with a flatbed (sorry Eric) and the silver Ranger had the front axle tweaked so the tire wobbled as he drove them thru the yard.

Don't worry Jim, we caught it before it effected tire wear. :icon_thumby:

Sooo yeah, I think he did have fun...

I was playing with wheelbearings so I was a greaseball, by the time I got cleaned up and fixed "Jim's truck" I forgot about my phone back in the garage.
