transmission problems with my 2000 ranger v8 swap

hope i'm doing this right. took my ranger for the first drive today and the trany was not acting right it seemed like it was stuck in 2nd gear and the od light started flashing. anybody out there have any ideas where i should start looking

i built it everything came out of a 97 explorer and was working well. I'm curious about the two different vss systems on the vehicle if that is what is screwing with the transmission and the computer shifting points

just for my curiosity have you tried un plugging the out put shaft speed sensor and tried driving it?
