The output shaft completely broke clean off, which is very strange I have never seen that happen. I am now looking for a transfer case, the transfer case in it was a BW1350. Is there any transfer case that is compatible? I've gone to junk yards and I can't seem to find any BW1350 that are manual shift most of the rangers with a BW1350 have automatic shift. I don't want to wait a little over a month for a new one. (new ones are hard to get delivered asap well the BW1350 are)

If anyone has an idea on why that happened because I still find it very strange, I wasn't off roading or doing anything extreme to put tension on it. I was just drove about a mile then it stripped clean off.

My credo
I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
I had the exact same thing happen, in the same spot, to a 13-50 on my ‘89 STX about 25 years ago. This was the start of my Ranger fascination that pushed me down a rabbit hole of owning dozens of RBVs (sometime 6 or more at the same time).
The STX 13-50 was kinda rare and hard to find. I picked up an electronic shift 13-50 for next to nothing. I swapped the rear output shaft from the E-shift into the manual shift case. It was pretty simple. Keep this option in mind.

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
Age, foreign material in casting, rust spec took its toll. There's no torsional twist so it wasn't a failure to abuse.

It was just its time to go south. Schtuff happens.

That’s strange!! Never known one to break off like that unless it was cracked or had some kind of damage! And really don’t see any damage or cracks from the pic’s! Maybe like dvdswan said it was just it’s time!

Rangers, Bronco II and Explorers all used the 1350/1354 with the exception of the V-8 Explorer which used an AWD case. Any 1350/1354 would work and worst case you could use parts from an electric to fix yours

Wow, crazy.

I have several spare manual 1350's on hand and I would be willing to ship you one of them if you can't find one locally.
