My 2002 ranger has a 1354 transfer case. Can I use a transfer case out of a 2008 or 2011 ranger that's a 1354 also?

Yes, 1998-2011 Ranger BW1354E used the same front driveshaft connection, and electric shift motors

You may need to change the rear flange as there were 2.5" and 3.0"(bolt hole centers) used in an almost random fashion, but not hard to do
You can change the flange on the transfer case OR the drive shaft end flange

If you want an exact match then measure yours, and then check if replacement is the same

I always thought the smaller flange was on earlier trucks. Learn something new everyday.

+1 ^^^

That's what I thought as well, but have read of a few transfer case swaps in 2001+ Rangers where the rear flange was the smaller one
But who knows if these were the original transfer cases, lol, when vehicles get older you just don't know whats factory and whats been changed
