Been awhile since I've posted but I LOVE my Ranger. '99 is leaking between the transfer case and the round dingus (I cleaned it before the photo, it actually runs forward to the case joint). What's up there? I wouldn't care except I just installed pavers in the driveway.

Thanks!

Drain plug. Pull the round dingus off and see if you can tighten it a bit - or drain it and refill with ATF, and use a little teflon tape on the plug.

Excellent! Was hoping for something simple, I could use the break.

Thanks Man!

Two things:

1) Remember to get the FILL plug out before messing with the drain plug.

2) These are iron pipe plugs, they are tapered, covered with a thread sealers and sunk into an aluminum case. Don't just try to tighten it. Go get a replacement and don't over tighten it. You can crack the case open. Then it will leak more.
