i just finally got extended access to my truck's computers with palmer performance's ScanXL with Ford addon package.
my truck has 191k miles on it, and i was recently able to get the engine light to stay off, and with scanxl i was able to get the ABS light to stay off (rear differential speed sensor replaced).
i now have just one code- P1832 transfer case Differential lockup solenoid circuit failure
is this just probably a faulty sensor? if it is, what does it really do, because my 4x4 seems to work great.
only hint i have is that i just replaced the transmission with a used (10k miles) 5r55e transmission pulled from a 2001 ranger. i did have a 5r55e in there to start with, but the newer trans had one extra sensor on the side that wasnt on my old one- so maybe that is all this code is for?
just curious, like i said my truck runs great! like new! (btw, i dont know if the code was there before i did the trans swap or not, i didnt have the extended obd info at that time)
