My first help thread here is kind of... awkward: I can't get the transmission fluid dipstick back in :cautious: I swear I've tried for a straight hour, getting not so helpful tips from the neighbour :D

With a bit of wigglind and turning it's going in well at first - except for the last bit (about 3 inches). No turning, wiggling, moving back and forth will make it go in further. It came out without issues and I can't see any damage / bend to it.

It's a 2021 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2.0 Biturbo with the 10-speed-transmission. This is a European car, in case this is not common in the US. I've attached an image of the engine bay, dip stick marked with an arrow.

Is there any trick to it?!

Have you tried the old "start from 180 degrees rotated" trick?

I'm out of ideas then. 😂

Seriously though, I'll defer to one of the guys with a new Ranger, I'm sure they'll know what's going on. Good luck!

I got it!! Instead of moving it really carefully and wiggling / turning, I put the handle in the same position it was in before and just moved it in one go. Not too strongly, but strong enough to get some bend in the dipstick. Just when I wanted to stop it jerked on and now it's back in. Pretty sure that's why it's not mentioned in the manual :D
