I would sure like 10 maybe 20 acres...

But I sure don't want to mow any where near enough grass that I need a mower like that.
Gotta do it to keep it from turning into a jungle though.

Mine is 72", keeps brush and unwanted trees at bay.

Well he did say it was a finish mower...

All the wife wants is a home in the middle of the woods.

There is good and bad on this.

Good is there is no grass to cut and lots of shade and privacy.
Bad is that there is not grass, so everything is mud, and there are lots of sticks to pick up.

Fun times, on Saturday I mowed (been a dumb spring, ground is liquid, rained more than not for the last 3 months...) since grass has been growing like crazy and I can't see where the gophers are active and they need a pelletized lead treatment... started with the riding mower, it didn't appreciate the mud so I mowed until I killed yet another belt (it doesn't like me, will look into that on Wednesday... it's in the shop now, have a new Stens belt). Switched to the tractor and the brush hog since I didn't want to be mean to my finish mower, after a couple hours the tractor stalled, primed the manual pump and it worked for a while then got worse. Parked it in the shop and looked into it tonight, there was a bark chip that had sunk in the fuel tank and had been wearing itself down to the point it was blocking the fuel outlet to the tank... that was fun to get out with a grabber tool...

Now there's ruts all over, I'll flatten them out later in the season, I have several yards of dirt I want to get rid of this year...

So I left the rear work light on last night and came home to a dead battery. Ran the Ranger around to jump it. If anyone has a 19-20 Ranger( can't speak for the newer ones) that is the WORST vehicle EVER to try and hook jumper cables to. Anyhow I tried for about 5-10 minutes and got womp womp click click click. Pulled the Bronco out the garage ( missing like hell.....) And 2 minutes fired off like new.

I finally mowed my swamp the other day. Well, the less soggy part anyway. Took one loop into the edge of the swamp and almost didn’t make it back out, was way softer than expected, I leaned harder on the go lever with the tractor and rode it out. Yard is soo soft right now still. And my lawn tractor is acting up. Going to try rebuilding/replacing the carb. Pretty sure that’s my problem. I had to choke it more than the gf…

*edit* so to clarify, I do not advocate hurting women. It’s a running argument between me and the gf, she wants choked and I was raised not to.

It is a PITA to hook cables to the terminals.

Yesterday I ran the tractor for a few hours and the bark chip was definitely the issue... pushed the brush hog pretty hard for a while then put the box scraper on to flatten out the trenches for the shop power, didn't work as well as I'd hoped but it's fine, the front yard is bad anyway, need to get my 3pt disc fixed and work it up... I have several drag harrow's (chain, spike and spring tooth...) and a two blade grader thing... that's a next spring project at this point...

Well stopped by my girlfriend's new work and saw my buddies tractor she sold him. I plan to deliver this weekend for him. 4+ hour drive gear drive Kubota with a loader and R1's. Fluid and a 6' box blade. Still in the crate.

Right now all my tractors are in the garage. Need a lean-to or small building for them.

Interesting how that mower mounts under the Allis. Completely 180 out from mower decks now, shape wise..

Its a woods L 306 I believe. both sides are open but its a left-side discharge. Wish it was rear discharge. Does a great job. 6’ cut.
