Torsion bar Rangers and Explorers. The pad for the torsion bar key on the frame. Is there supposed to be some sort of replaceable rubber piece between that and the frame?

When I had the suspension torn down and bars out the other week the pad for the torsion bar fell away from the frame on the driver side, it didn't on the pasenger side. It looked like there was some sort of rubber or poly insulator between thepad and the frame. It dried out and breaking apart, where borken it was a blue color inside.

Wondering what these are since I've never seen them listed for replacements, and where I might be able to get them.

I know what you're talking about... mine were both serviceable.

I've never looked for them. Bit I've never seen them in all my internet parts chasing.

a hard type of plastic on the '99 I tore apart.
it's called an isolator. I think it's the plastic pad instead of the iron plate.
hit the related parts tab, then 5b335
I searched 2011 Ranger.

That looks like it. I was thinking it might have been some sort of old dried out polyurethane, like the performance suspension bushings. Appears that they sell it as a set with the metal plate the bar rides on.

That gives me a full part number of 6L5Z-5B335-AA and says its on backoreder. Searching the P/N Tasca says that it's special order form the manufacturer. It also gives an Amazon result for a replacement insulator pad only for like $27 ea, or two for about $50 after a 5% coupon. I might just order a couple and replace them when I'm back in there in a few weeks.
