it was a nice cool 79 when i went out to get my mountain bike out of hte garage to ride to work this morning. decided it was too humid and my ankle hurt to much to ride so i drove in.

temp is currently 89 with with 68% humidity so the real feel temp is 99. probably be real feel of 106 like yesterday was when i get out of work.

supposedly next week will be the hottest week in south texas in a long time with each day over 115. i guess we will find out next week

My AC stopped working yesterday. Noticed the day before that air was barely blowing out of the vents, so I changed the filter. Yesterday it was much hotter in the house and worse. Called an AC guy who came right out, looked at it, and said it was frozen. He looked at the filter I took out and said that enough air wasn't flowing through it which allowed it to get even colder and freeze. Told me to shut off the AC overnight and let it thaw out. Removed the filter and laid a tray down to catch the water when it melts.

Todays weather? DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's been near 100F all week, humidity is at stupid levels, high temps are at like 6pm and lows are at like 6am (mid 60's). I don't have much in the way of A/C in the house (built in 1913ish I think... thinking of a mini split but not in the cards this year...), there's no breeze, house is like '89 inside right now downstairs but it's 99 outside so I'm inside, I mowed for a couple hours when it was a mere 95, drank about half a gallon of water while doing so (would rather have a 6 pack with me but too hot, don't need a heat stroke...). The only vehicle I have with A/C is the wife's Camry (the other 3 that do have components all have malfunctioning blend doors and two of them aren't charged up...) the camper does have A/C so that's where we had dinner on Monday...

Supposed to be mid 70's next week...

Last weekend I was in the high desert, low humidity but 90 as I expected, got home and could barely unpack without overheating myself from the 90+ and high humidity...

Update: Once it became tolerable again I went out and mowed some more to make room for the trailers to be relocated (I might have a trailer problem apparently, I moved 3 and I have two that other people have currently...). While doing so there were stupid tiny flies buzzing my eyes for moisture (I live next to a wetland, go south 75 yards dumbasses...) then it got more dusker (technical term...) and 87 million mosquitoes (+/- 6) came out and started attacking me when I was moving trailers with the Explorer while those stupid flies were buzzing my eyes... I'm not used to those flies, I'm used to the mosquitoes... something tells me I'm going to be itchy tomorrow...

i am so glad i live so close to the ocean. san antonio and central texas has been having killer temps. ours are high, mid 90s with the humidity putting it almost to 110 but since my house is close enough to have the ocean breeze, its about 5-7 degrees cooler in my yard versus in town (5+ miles inland)

We are about the same. In the 90s with high humidity. I was hoping the rain this morning would either cool things down or drop the humidity. No joy on either front.

everyone has high hopes for rain in a few days with the pressure systems moving through the gulf. supposedly we could get a shower soon. to me, that means light rain for 5 minutes and then super high humidity

Those situations are the worst.
