We hit the low 80's... humidity was pretty bad. Gonna get hotter the next few days.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Didn't ride the bike to work cause the little weather widget thing on my phone said it was going to rain.

Now it's not going to rain.

I believe the weather Channel owes me like... 2.50$ or something for my wasted fuel. Bastards.

Half cloudy, 75°, not too muggy.

Why is it the weather channels fault that you’re afraid of water?

It just is 🤷‍♀️ scientific anomaly they call it.

Nah. Few years back all I had for a vehicle for most of the year was a motorcycle.. I rode in the rain enough that year to never want to do it again. Unless I'm swimming or in the shower I have absolutely no interest being wet.. must of been a cat in a previous life.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
What a yucky day. 96 degrees / heat index of 99.

Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 100. I wonder what the humidity will turn that into.

Not to mention rain stings if you are going fast enough.

I run into that when I’m road biking (pedal). It feels great on the flats or during a hill climb though and I’m generally not moving fast enough for it to sting. Down hill is a different story.

Yep, Gotta love that Delta Breeze. Too bad it isn't a dependable phenomena all Summer.
The marine influence helps. The other part of it is places with lower humidity have wider temperatures fluctuations. A 55° morning can turn into a 105° afternoon here. Even the places with a reputation for being hot have cooler nights than other parts of the country. The average low in Fresno for June is 66°. Compare than to Dallas where the average low is 72°. Although, Fresno can remain very warm overnight, but usually that is limited to the worst heatwaves. Last year was a very hot summer out here, and the hottest July in Fresno. This is hot: https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/hnx/fat/lcd/21julfat.htm

We also experience katabatic warming when the wind blows downslope from the Sierra Nevada. As the air moves down it is compressed and warms. It's warmed frosty nights into the 50s in several hours in the middle of the night. It causes some very hot days and nights in the summer, but the humidity is very low when it occurs. Redding gets a lot of this, thus the wide temperature swings there.
