In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

What the heck Atlanta. You could have kept that mess. This is a little below Macon and it's still steadily falling. From what I've heard it's supposed to be even heavier south of here.

Well it's in the early AM here. Everything out there is now covered in a solid blanket of white. Couple of inches deep on my porch rails, unsure about out in the yard. Best I could tell when I looked out side it might still be dropping, flurries at least.

This definitely isn't normal for this area. I like it, wish it would do it more often, but it isn't normal. Be interesting to see if we get more through the day tomorrow, or how soon it'll be melted and gone. Not looking like there will be more accumulation, but suppose to be in the teens and twenties so it might stick around for the day.

Just got a heavy dusting here. Then, somehow, overnight in the dark with temperatures in the 20's, it disappeared. Must have evaporated.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
18 below when I got in the car around 7. We've got all the way to 5 below right now.. not supposed to be above 0 until 10am or so ❄❄❄

Saw a Nissan leaf stuck on the side of the road on my way in.. barely able to flash it's 4-ways lol.

ATLANTA SNOWMAGEDDON II

2025 !!!!

View attachment 122616

Severe winter conditions (everything is relative) started almost an hour ago, and snowfall is expected to last into the next 15 or 20 minutes!

View attachment 122617

Accumulations up to one quarter of an inch are expected!

View attachment 122619

Which reminds me I have to finish up the Road ‘Raith before spring which is only a few days away
Well, Atlantis snowmageddon II 2025 is in the history books now. It was more than flurries, but lighter than full blown snow, accumulated about a quarter inch. It’s been in the teens or 20s at night for a few days, and it only went above 32° a couple hours in the last couple days. It was so cold when it came down and the ground was so cold, it didn’t stick, it was like dust. Don’t remember seeing that in Atlanta before.

When I walked Lincoln this morning, I took the leaf blower and blew off the cars and trucks and most of the driveway. It took 15 minutes. I’ve never done that before, but it beats the hell out of shoveling.

It’s still supposed to be nights in the mid or low 20s for the rest of the week, but it’s going to be a toasty warm upper 30s in the daytime.

And I realized I’m still a polar bear from my four years in Ithaca. I walked Lincoln in my bathrobe, which is about as thick as a T-shirt, and seized the opportunity to blow the snow. Made the hot coffee taste a little better after that.

The FL panhandle got a fair amount of snow yesterday, ~8" in Pensacola. I saw a meteorologist explaining that they would be essentially getting lake effect snow fed by the Gulf. Wild.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
All this stranger weather is because the poles are reversing… I’ve been telling people that for years now.
