We’ve had a slight rain for the past couple days. Such an inconvenience…….
It is an inconvenience, it’s interfering with me welding my F-150 suspension back together and it’s interfering with my church’s fall bonfire…

I’m kidding of course. It is interfering, but that’s a very minor thing in comparison to the disaster this hurricane has wrought to so many. One retired couple I know have lost pretty much everything including their vehicle. Someone else in their condo complex drowned. A lot of people have been far more affected than me…

Never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can put off indefinitely
I posted Thursday that we already had an inch of rain and they were expecting two or three more inches and mentioned that a half-inch over several days was a lot of water for us.

I just found out the weather station in my neighborhood recorded 12 1/2 inches of rain, and just north of us they got 15 and 16 inches. That’s a lot of water.

Sad to hear about the couple and the people that drowned.

The rain had put the erecting the carport for the winter on hold but I had other preparations to do for the deployment that could be done in the mean time. Now that the rain appears to have stopped, I can start unstacking and strategically placing structure sections in the drive.

It's currently 52 at 9 PM. The low should be around 44. Then a high of 76 tomorrow. Then rain on Saturday when I'm working on the Ranger.

It’s raining.
We’re not even supposed to get 1/4” or less.
I wouldn’t even mention it normally, but this is the first time we got a measurable amount of rain since before our Kentucky trip. Yes, it’s been 2 months without a drop of rain. Too bad it’s only a little drizzle.

It was 70 today with a dewpoint of 30 degrees. Right now it is 49 with a dewpoint at 39. The forecast low is 49, but we are already there. I expect it to go down into the mid 40s then warm back up a little before sunrise as the incoming low blows in milder air that will also bring up the dew points before it starts raining sometime around 10:00 AM. The high is forecast to be around 59-62. Snow is expected above 5,500 feet in the Sierra Nevada east of here. The rest of the week will be in the low 60s for a high and low 40s for the lows with some rain.

It has been hot and humid with a lot of dust in the air. Though being near winter, only in the 90s during the day. The lows have been in the 70s, though it seems that it was a bit cooler last night. I hear it can get down to the 50s at night here. Also, the fog can get pretty dense here at night.

It's been chilly at night. The last few mornings have been around freezing. Last night the fog set in which kept some of the heat in. It was 41 for a low this morning with fog and drizzle. It's 44 right now. There is a strong inversion in the Sacramento/San Joaquin, and other valleys in the West. The locations in the Sierra Nevada above the inversion between about 1,500 and 4,000 feet in elevation are in the 60s. The strength of the sun at this time of the year isn't strong enough to heat up the ground enough to break up the inversion, so the high temperatures today in the valley are expected to be in the upper 40s to mid-50s. I need to do a few things outside. Cold damp air feels much colder than it is. Some people here call it the bone chill, or wet chill factor.

We drove up to omaha on the friday before thanksgiving. It was a nice 46 degrees and sunny. Everyday after that was 30s in the afternoon and 7-12 degrees in the morning.

7-12 degrees sucks. It was 70 something the whole time at my house, which was nice to return back to after that cold.
